Kamaladi Ganeshthan also know as Kamalaji Ganeshthan is situated at Kamaladi road which is linked to putalisadak in right and Ghantaghar in left. It is a shrine where devotees comes to offer their devotion to Lord Ganesh – the deity of beginnings.Kamaladi Ganesthan is one of the sacred place in the Capital where crowds are seen specially on Tuesdays for it is the day of Lord Ganesh.The temple holds regular puja every morning with flowers, tika (vermillion powder), chamal (rice), batti (cotton wick soaked in oil or ghee) and other essential ingredients according to different culture in Nepali society. The temple also offers evening aarati which means offering lights from soaked wicks in oil or ghee along with singing songs to please the deity.Like many others I am also among the one who regularly visit Kamaladi Ganeshthan on every Tuesday to light wick lamps and offer ladoo- a sweet which is believed to be favorite of Lord Ganesh.
